None of the data from Hodgdon lists this wad but they do show a WAA12SL.The only effect to the stock or for that matter the shoulder is recoil which is a product of payload and acceleration. Pressure is the force against the unopened balloon that is a shot shell. A high pressure 3/4 oz. load will have less recoil than a low pressure 1 1/2 load. The CB0178-12 tented up and left pellets trapped in the folds and were difficult to insert into the chamber in hot weather. According to the Hodgdon website: AAHS, 1oz shot, 15.7gr of Longshot with Win209 is 1,165fps at 10,900psi. I couldn't find the 2100 wads at the store and picked up a bag of CB0178-12 wads (WAA12L replacement)which are actually listed for AA hulls. None of the data from Hodgdon lists this wad but they do show a WAA12SL.The AAHS/Longshot loads listed are at or near SAAMI max pressure with the wads they list. I hadn't planned on it. SAAMI max is 12,000psi. According to the Hodgdon website: AAHS, 1oz shot, 15.7gr of Longshot with Win209 is 1,165fps at 10,900psi. For the AA hull with a 24 gram//7/8 oz shot load, try the CB1100-12. This is the Winchester 12SL copy. I see better uniformity in the patterns and more consistent crimps with good old Red Dot than with the CB0178-12L. It's also easier to pick up and stuff in the wad guide increasing production speed.
